I use gimp for animation and whenever I pick a color and try to color this it turns into either skin colors, brown or blue
How do I fix it

i'm not a gimp user, so unfortunately i cant help, i'm sorry ^^;. It sounds like the image is the wrong format to be edited though. I'd ask someone familiar with Gimp how to properly open animated gifs :)
