it's a great way to pay for things! Not all but most places take it these days and all you really need is a bank account. Even then not *reall*. You could make a paypal accoutn and have someone else with a paypal account send you money without you needing a CC or a bank accoutn attached to it. Having a bank accoutn attached though means you can send e-cheques which take about 7 days toclear, or you can deposit money to your pp from your bank account so it is there already to pay for things right away.
I like the way storenvy has more customization to be integrated in to your website, but etsy is great for window shopping through pages and pages of stuff haha!
That's what I like about storenvy is you have more control over how your shop looks. The only thing about storenvy is since you are not paying for your shop you are not paying as much to get your shop out there. I think storevny has a thing saying that about 30% of their views come from searches and the rest is all from direct linking. So you have to do more advertising work than you would on Etsy.
Awe, it breaks my heart so many people think Etsy is "over priced". The majority of it is handmade afterall.. ;-; I prefer Etsy myself! I like their more detailed feedback system verses Artfires. I'm really unfamiliar with Storenvy though.
storeenvy seems to be a system that lets you fully customize your 'shop' in to a website or integrate their cart system in to an existing site . And yeah I think etsy is great! there are lots of things i cant afford on there but i dont specifically deem them overpriced, just out of *my* price range(speaking of things like fashion items going for hundreds on etsy i mean LOL or i've seen art installations on etsy too for thousands)
